Kelly’s preferred pronouns are she/her. She was born and raised in California in a military family that was also multicultural, multi-lingual, inter-faith, and mixed-race. Kelly has degrees in Molecular Biology, French, Applied Biostatistics, and Fisheries. She is a former youth athlete competitive in artistic gymnastics and golf, as well as a former sports coach in artistic gymnastics, pole acrobatics, and golf. She is also a former professional scientist and fisheries biologist. Currently, Kelly pursues the arts professionally, and her Disability status has led her to pursue relearning how to live in a body and mind changed by chronic injury and chronic pain. Kelly believes that an examined life, continuing education, physical movement, self-reflection, and growth make for a life worth living. Meditation to quiet the mind, and self-soothing skills to quiet the nervous system, are indispensable tools she personally uses every day. Kelly hopes to provide safe spaces for people curious about meditation and/or recovery.
