Melonie Boord, Séetlein, Tlingit/Mexican, is a licensed clinical social worker at Sitka Tribe of Alaska and enjoys chasing sunsets in different parts of the world and spending time in nature on the water and in the rainforest. She is guided by the primary mission of the social work profession to enhance human well-being and help meet the basic human needs of all people, with particular attention to the needs and empowerment of people who are vulnerable, oppressed, and living in poverty.  The mind-body-spirit connection experienced through yoga asanas and teachings complement her social work practice to enhance healing and well-being.
