Hi, I’m Zoë! I grew up in Kansas City and Colorado and moved to Sitka this August. I started my yoga teaching journey in 2024, right after graduating from college, and it gave me confidence and a sense of grounding during an exciting but scary time of life (aka postgrad). Since then, my practice has been my anchor: it’s strengthened my relationship with distance running, taught me how to quiet my mind, and given me a much-needed break from the busyness of everyday life.

When I’m not on my mat, you can usually find me writing a research paper or climbing a mountain. I’m a full-time graduate student studying environmental science and policy through Oregon State, and I love all things outdoors, from stewardship to recreation. I’m an avid distance runner, skier (backcountry and otherwise), backpacker, and hiker, and I’m happy doing anything that gets my feet in the dirt. In my classes, I hope to help students deepen their connection to themselves and to the natural world around us. I can’t wait to flow with you!
